Are you struggling to move forwards after a traumatic event?

When we experience, witness or hear about an event in which we fear for our life, or the life of someone we love, our brain and body react quickly to protect us. This survival instinct is designed to protect us but it sometimes struggles to recognise when the event has passed. This can lead to us feeling on edge, hyper alert or re-experiencing the event again and again.

In trauma-focussed therapy, we will look to relieve the heightened anxiety by processing the memory and helping your body to recognise the event has ended. I use a combination of EMDR, CBT and Compassion Focussed Therapy, depending on your needs and preferences.
